Curtainwall Resurfacing Manhasset 7500 sq. ft. of widespread deep scratchesin tempered glass from post construction window cleaning caused 7000 sq. ft. of tempered glass curtain wall to become completely scratched.   From the pattern of the scratches, it appears to be caused from fabrication debris damage.  The widespread glass scratches were first, ground out.  Then, the tempered curtain wall had to be completely resurfaced if the glass was to be restored.  Since this was a busy hospital in Queens, NY, we were required to work nights to minimize any disruption to normal activities.  The upside of performing scratched tempered glass resurfacing at night is that, using floodlights shows all the scratches, even better than the sun. Also, any haze or swirls are readily visible. The deep glass scratch polishing process moves along much faster as well.
