Doing a “little” job in Tampa, Florida on our way to Miami and Boca Raton for a few demos with some commercial builders. What we have here is a custom home with (18) scratched tempered glass french doors with
apparent fabricating debris damage. There are scratches on the inside and the outside of the glass. The builder had another “scratched glass repair expert” come to do a demo before I arrived. From their description, sounds like he was using the glasweld system. He was able to “resurface” about 2 sq. ft. in about 3 hours! Many of the scratches are fairly significant on this project so its understandable. The total sq. footage of the 18 doors and windows is about 400+ sq. ft. since there are additional scratches on the inside also. The other guy said he could do the whole job in about 16 hours! Does something seem wrong with the math?! I have put in about 14 hours already into the job and still probably have 4 hours left. Needless to say, we got the job, even though we were significantly more expensive than the other guy. However, we’re still less than 50% of the replacement cost. Just another example of how our “competition” constantly “say” they can do what we can do but, in our experience, have yet to show us or anyone that they really can. Here are a few pictures of the job in progress. We are the real glass resurfacing experts. We beat everyone in speed, neatness, and of course, quality!
